Insulating glass sealant is a new generation of green environmental protection sealing material born under the national policy of high efficiency, energy saving, sealing and environmental protection in construction engineering. Insulating glass sealant can be divided into thermoplastic and thermosetting. Thermoplastic insulating glass sealants include hot melt butyl rubber, polyisobutylene rubber and comfort strip. Thermosetting insulating glass sealants include silicone sealant, polyurethane sealant and polysulfide sealant. Generally speaking, thermoplastic is mostly used for the first seal, while thermosetting adhesive is mostly used for the second seal, that is, structural seal.
